How to Measure Your Gas Struts

Selectlok gas struts are measured centre-of-eye to centre-of-eye at each end connector, using the fully extended (open) length.

Formula for calculating gas strut pressures:

• I: Door Weight (in Kg) x 15% (Allowance for the mounting point on the door being no more than 50% of the dist. between lower mount and hinge) = Total Lift Force Required (in Kg/f)
  
  
• II: x 10 (Converting from Kg ~ Newtons *NOTE: 1kg of force is equal to approx. 10 N) = Total Life Force Required (in N/f)
