Measuring your struts

• Selectlok gas struts are measured from "centre-of-eye" to "centre-of-eye" (at each of the end connectors) and at the struts full extended length (fully open).

Formula for calculating gas strut pressures:

• I:          Door Weight (in Kg) x 15% (Allowance for the mounting point on the door being no more than 50% of the dist. between lower mount and hinge) = Total Lift Force Required (in Kg/f)
• II:         x 10 (Converting from Kg ~ Newtons *NOTE: 1kg of force is equal to approx. 10 N) = Total Life Force Required (in N/f)
• III:        / (divided by:)
• IIIV:     The number of struts being used = The Newton Force Required (Per Strut)
